Love, Marriage and Sex in the City  (2 x 60')

Genre: People & Places

Love Marriage & Sex In The City explores three distinct Asian cultures, India, Japan and Singapore, through the institution of marriage.

In Episode 1, we find out how singles find love, in the big lonely city. Japan, land of quirky inventions, gets creative with its dating on golf courses, singles-only bar, and man's dating school. India sticks to tradition, largely relying on arranged marriages. And busy professionals try to squeeze in time for love in between lunch, while getting help from the Singapore state matchmaker, Social Development Unit.

In Episode 2, we find out what happens, once the One is found. We uncover how marriages are holding up in reticent and reserved Japan; the famous Japanese polite-ness can ironically be a source of tension. In India, traditions like dowries and castes still linger on and shape unions. And in Singapore, discover how pragmatism works for time-starved yuppies, juggling careers and kids.

Love Marriage & Sex In the City provides an intimate glimpse at how passion takes its form in Asian cities.
